Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25, 1970) is an American former tight end in the NFL. Gonzalez was a player in the National Football League from 1997 to 2003. As one of football's greatest tight ends Anthony David Gonzalez is also the NFL leading receiver of yards by tight end and is third overall in receiving.
Tony Gonzalez, former All-Pro tight-end with the Kansas City Chiefs as well as the Atlanta Falcons, is currently working in FOX's studio. Gonzalez is on FOX NFL KICKOFF since this past season, serves as the show's host. The show airs on Sunday, at 11:00 AM ET, before FOX NFL Sunday.
Gonzalez, who had said his retirement was scheduled for the final week of the 2013 season, agreed on March 15 to sign a two year, $14million contract to remain in the Falcons. Randy Moss' retirement meant that Gonzalez was the NFL's leader of receiving yards in his final season.
